The following page is a set of materials designed to take a class through the Design Thinking process in the context of students completing a “Make a Difference” project linked to one or more of the 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals.

This material is copyrighted by Joe Houghton.

Universal Design for Learning (UDL) principles have been used in the preparation of these materials, with multi-modal representations of the information. Each section of materials has :

1. An audio overview with transcript.
2. Videos.
3. A slide deck.
4. Practical exercises to complete.

AI tools have been used to assemble and present the materials explored in this module:

• Notion is the app where these pages have been created and then published as web pages.
• GAMMA was used to create the slide decks using a standardised template. Once created the decks were exported as PDF files but then also published as online websites.
• NotebookLM was used to create the audio files, and then these audio files were uploaded back into NotebookLM to create the transcripts.
• Google Gemini (2.5 Pro) was used to build out the exercises.
